Premiere: Lasten Hautausmaa Mixtape (Flow Festival Edition)

August 14-16 in Helsinki, Finland

Aug 11, 2015 Flow Festival 2015 Bookmark and Share

It’s almost here—Flow Festival, a three day even featuring the likes of Pet Shop Boys, Florence and the Machine, and Chic among others. The Finnish home team is strong as well, so strong in fact, we’re taking the next few days to introduce you to a few key players via our ongoing mixtape series. The next entry comes from Lasten Hautausmaa.

“These bands all are from our hometown Kouvola, Finland,” says the group of their mix picks. “A small town of 90 000 people, 1.5 hours from Helsinki. All of these groups have some kind of connection with punk rock but nowadays the scale has become wider. Some of these songs are unreleased and available for the first time in internet: HYESJFVHS’ “Be My Babe,” Kylmä Etelä’s “Cee Cee Rider,” Miettiin’s “Rappiolla2,” Black Monk’s “Get Rid of Her” and Sunday Jazz Club. Enjoy!”

Listen to the mix below. You can also revisit previous entries in our series from Have You Ever Seen The Jane Fonda Aerobic VHS? and Hisko Detria. Heading to Flow? Great! Grab all the info you might need here.
