On May 27, Outer Spaces will release their debut album, A Shedding Snake, via Don Giovanni. Ahead of the date, we’re pleased to share a stream of the record. The LP is haunted by the specter classic college rock, yet defined by qualities that are unique to the songwriting of Cara Beth Satalino; A Shedding Snake is brimming with delicate, elegantly crafted songs punctuated by incisive lyrics and unexpectedly vivid choruses. Connecting via email, Satalino had this to say about the record:
“A Shedding Snake is most definitely an album about transition, though I don’t think I was conscious of that theme during the writing process. It’s about leaving behind what doesn’t serve you anymore, and moving forward; evolving.”
