Red Sleeping Beauty
On Feb. 24, Alpaca Sports will release their debut full-length, Sealed With a Kiss. The album will come with a bonus disc, featuring other artists’ remixes and reinterpretations of their Swedish pop band’s songs. Today, we’re pleased to premiere on of those cuts, Red Sleeping Beauty doing their version of “Just For Fun.”
But pop fans, this is no mere premiere. (Prepare for the ticker tape parade.) The track you are about to hear (or are currently listening to if you’re the kind of person who likes to rush to the punch line) represents the band’s first musical output in since 1997. It was then after two albums of perfect pop that the band vanished from the earth…and then later reappered as members of The Shermans, The Charade, and Acid House Kings. Listen below—I think we can all agree that the world is a bit sweeter with Red Sleeping Beauty in it. And if you like the cut, stay tuned.
