Le Guess Who? 2017
In a few short days we’ll be in Utrecht, Netherland for one of our favorite fests of the year, Le Guess Who. Every year the event pairs the best artists from the independent music world with previously unearthed treasures. (We’ll never forget the year Turkish protest singer Selda headlined over St. Vincent…and it totally worked.) In that spirit, we’re using this year’s mix series to highlight a few of our favorite unearthed treasures—namely players in the Dutch scene. First up is The Visual, who are taking us on a romantic tour of their record collection with cuts from Jeff Buckley, Tom Waits, Joy Division, Frank Ocean, and Serge Gainsbourg among others. Listen below.
