Priests
Washington, D.C.‘s Priests have released a new album, The Seduction of Kansas, today via Sister Polygon. Now that the album is out, you can stream the whole thing below. Also below are Priests’ upcoming tour dates.
Previously the post-punk band shared a video for the album’s title track, “The Seduction of Kansas,” which was one of our Songs of the Week. Then they shared a lyric video for another new song from the album, “Good Time Charlie,” which was followed by a full-on video for another new song from the album, “Jesus’ Son.”
Priests’ core lineup is drummer Daniele Daniele, vocalist Katie Alice Greer, and guitarist G.L. Jaguar. For this album they were joined in the studio by multi-instrumentalist Janel Leppin. The band also spent two weeks recording with producer John Congleton (Angel Olsen, St. Vincent) at his Elmwood Studio in Dallas. The album is Priests’ second full-length album, the follow-up to 2017’s Nothing Feels Unnatural.
