R.E.M.‘s fourth studio album Lifes Rich Pageant has been remastered, repackaged, and given a second disc of unreleased demos in preparation for its 25th anniversary edition reissue due July 12 on Capitol/IRS. The disc, long a fan favorite, found the band going in a crisper, more rocking direction with producer Don Gehman (John Mellencamp), as opposed to the murky approach favored by Joe Boyd (Nick Drake, The Fairport Convention) on its predecessor, Fables of the Reconstruction.

The album, in addition to the double CD set featuring a lift top box including four postcards and a poster, will also be available in remastered 180 gram vinyl format with a faithfully replicated packaging format. We have the full tracklisting below for the CD format. The vinyl consists solely of the original album.
