Bert Jansch
British folk singer and former member of Pentangle, Bert Jansch has passed away from cancer. He was 67 years old.
Touted as the U.K.‘s version of Bob Dylan, Jansch was considered an expert acoustic guitar player and won two lifetime achievement prizes at BBC Folks awards.
Jansch had problems with his health since discovering a tumor on his lung in 2009. Just recently he had to cancel a show in Edinburg due to the illness.
During his career, Jansch released over 23 albums that include his solo work along with Pentangle and had major influences on musicians such as Paul Simon, Johnny Marr, Nick Drake and Graham Coxon.
