Country music icon Merle Haggard has died today on his 79th birthday. He passed away after a bout with double pneumonia but was tough as nails and a true fighter until the end. Haggard had an undeniable impact on country music, especially the outlaw country movement. He had more than 100 Billboard-charting singles.
