Ex-Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft has announced the American release of his solo album, United Nations of Sound. Already out in England, the project hits stateside early 2011 via Razor & Tie. Planning is in place for his first solo American tour in six years. The 12-song album was produced by No I.D., a hip hop producer who has worked with Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Common. The press release says that the producer “assisted Richard in creating a huge sound that makes use of live orchestration, big beats and his widest range of influences yet.”
