Richard Ashcroft
The Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft returns with his latest collage of orchestral pop, electric guitar slides, and beat samples on United Nations of Sound, Ashcroft’s first solo effort in four years, slated for a March 22 release. Engineered by revered hip-hop producer No I.D. (Jay-Z, Kanye West), United Nations of Sound delivers 12 tracks of swelling and crashing sonic waves. Download first single “Are You Ready” here for a taste of Ashcroft’s labryinthine, nothing short of epic melodies. You can also check out the track at the upcoming screenings of the Matt Damon-starring The Adjustment Bureau—just be sure to remain in your seat for the closing credits.
In honor of the record’s release, Ashcroft will be playing two exclusive U.S. shows in March: New York City’s Bowery Ballroom on the 23rd and Boston’s Villa Victoria Center on the 24th. These performances mark Ashcroft’s first stateside appearance since 2008.

I have seen the movie that you have mentioned here, but I had no clue that it was his songs that were used in it. Now I will have to hear that song again to refresh my memory.
