Rilo Kiley is Not Releasing an Album of New Material
Cryptic Facebook Message Refers To A Rarities Compilation

For those hoping that Rilo Kiley’s announcement yesterday meant the band had new material on the way, well we have some good news/bad news. Yes, they’re putting out an album. But their statement, “Record is almost finished,” refers to their long hinted at rarities and B-sides compilation—not new songs.
Then again, perhaps fans should have gotten the band’s second hint—a Facebook photo added a few hours after the announcement featuring lyrics from “A Man/Me/Then Jim,” a track from the band’s 2004 album, More Adventurous. (Then again, if you were like us, you were too busy celebrating to check back…)
