Sep 17, 2015 Ryan Adams
Ryan Adams has covered Taylor Swift’s megahit most recent album, 2014’s 1989, in its entirety. He’s been teasing this for several weeks now, sharing snippets of his covers, but today he announced that the full covers album will be released digitally next Monday (September 21). Also today Zane Lowe played Adams’ cover of “Bad Blood” on his Beats 1 Radio show and promised that he’ll interview Adams on Monday, along with a special surprise guest who’ll be calling in (most likely Ms. Swift herself). Check out the “Bad Blood” cover below, followed by the video for the original. Also below is Swift’s Twitter reaction to the whole thing.
Ryan’s music helped shape my songwriting. This is surreal and dreamlike. Countdown to #RyanAdams1989 @TheRyanAdams pic.twitter.com/pGZB0uUqiB
