South London duo Sandhouse—Anna and Caspar—return with their first release of the year, unveiling the darkly hypnotic single “Circus”, out today. Following spellbinding live shows at Bermondsey Social Club and The Shacklewell Arms, the track once again highlights their talent for crafting lush, widescreen soundscapes to become something much more powerful and expansive than the sum of its parts.
“Circus” draws listeners into its brooding atmosphere, with Anna’s ethereal vocals weaving a captivating spell before the song surges into a powerful crescendo. Speaking about the track, the duo shared: “‘Circus’ is about being online; inhabiting a constant state of watching and being watched, and the twisted effect this has on the ego and view of others.”
UK Fans can catch Sandhouse live at The Lexington on 27th February, headlining for Abbie McCarthy’s Good Karma Club.
Self-released by Sandhouse, their first two tracks “Sick Of Your Face” and “Bite Me Back” picked up strong support and the duo are currently busy in the studio putting together their debut EP which is expected in the coming months.
