School of Seven Bells
School of Seven Bells will release their new album Disconnect From Desire on July 13, on Vagrant/Ghostly International in the U.S. and Full Time Hobby in Europe. To support their new release, the band will play two shows at Mercury Lounge in their hometown, New York City, on June 9 and 10.
The three-piece band consists of Benjamin Curtis (formerly of Secret Machines) and identical twins Alejandra and Claudia Deheza (formerly of On! Air! Library!). A strong connectivity to the external world and to the listeners is reflected in Disconnect From Desire. “We knew we wanted to make a record that connected on more of a direct and personal level than we ever had before,” says Curtis in the press release. “It’s a complete account of our lives this past year, and it’s crazy how taking an honest look at yourself can tell you the most about the world around you.”
School of Seven Bells has toured with such bands as Bat For Lashes and Blonde Redhead. Besides the two shows in New York, more tour dates will be announced.
