Sebadoh are releasing a new album, Act Surprised, on May 24 via Dangerbird. Now they have shared another song from it, “Raging River,” via a video for the track. Watch it below, followed by their upcoming tour dates.

A press release says the song “shines a light on the prevalence of conspiracy theories and everyday problems caused by anxiety-inducing technology.”

The band’s Jason Loewenstein had this to say about “Raging River” in the press release: “Wouldn’t it be great if a big raging river came through here and washed away all the assholes?”

Previously Sebadoh shared a video for Act Surprised‘s first single, “Celebrate the Void.” Then they shared another song from it, “Stunned,” also via a video.

Act Surprised is the band’s first album in six years. The band (Lou Barlow, Jason Loewenstein, and Bob D’Amico) recorded it with producer/sound engineer Justin Pizzoferatto after Barlow “moved back to his home state of Massachusetts following a series of personal changes.”

Lowenstein previously had this to say about the album: “Of all the records we have made in our long career, this is definitely the most recent.”
