Sebadoh are releasing a new album, Act Surprised, on May 24 via Dangerbird. Now they have shared another song from it, “Sunshine,” via a video for the track. Watch it below, followed by their upcoming tour dates.
In a press release Barlow says the song “is about going inside. Giving up, for the moment, on finding answers in nature or social rituals. Going inside, where I feel safe, and finding strength in intimacy.”
Previously Sebadoh shared a video for Act Surprised‘s first single, “Celebrate the Void.” Then they shared another song from it, “Stunned,” also via a video. That was followed by “Raging River,” also via a video for the track.
Act Surprised is the band’s first album in six years. The band (Lou Barlow, Jason Loewenstein, and Bob D’Amico) recorded it with producer/sound engineer Justin Pizzoferatto after Barlow “moved back to his home state of Massachusetts following a series of personal changes.”
Lowenstein previously had this to say about the album: “Of all the records we have made in our long career, this is definitely the most recent.”
