Spoon released a new album, Hot Thoughts, last month via Matador. Previously they shared the album’s first single, title track “Hot Thoughts,” and a strange video for “Can I Sit Next to You.” Now the band has shared a video for “Hot Thoughts.” They have also announced some special shows with The Shins, who also released a new album last month, Heartworms, via Aural Apothecary/Columbia. The “Hot Thoughts” video consists of footage from their recent SXSW residency. Check it out below, followed by tour dates for both artists.
Matador, released Spoon’s debut album, 1996’s Telephono (although most of their albums came out via Merge and their last one, 2014’s They Want Your Soul, was released by major label subsidiary Loma Vista). Hot Thoughts was co-produced by Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev, MGMT) and Spoon.
