St. Vincent and David Byrne Announce “Love This Giant”
Out September 11
Jun 14, 2012 David Byrne and St. Vincent
As previously announced David Byrne and St. Vincent (Annie Clark) have been at work on a joint album. Now the pair are ready to spill the beans on their project. Out September 11 via 4AD/Todo Mundo, the project is collaborative in every sense. In a recent interview with Pitchfork, Clark admitted as much, saying, “It’s an honest-to-god, straight-down-the-middle thing. He wrote music, I wrote music; he wrote words, I wrote words. He sings half the songs, I wrote half the songs. I’ve never been that closely entwined in the songwriting, arranging, singing, and lyric-writing process with anyone.”
Taste the fruit of the pair’s labor via the handy widget below. Even further down the page, you’ll find a tracklist and forthcoming joint tour dates.
