Apple Music launched this week and a big part of the service is the Beats 1 Internet radio station. St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) is one of the celebrity DJs involved in the enterprise and she hosted her first Beats 1 show last night. The show is called St. Vincent’s Mixtape Delivery Service and in each installment she personally makes a mixtape for one listener. Last night she not only made a mixtape for an 11-year-old girl named Piper, she also interviewed her on the show and played all the songs from the mixtape.

Piper is already into pretty cool music for an 11-year-old (she likes Purity Ring and CHVRCHES and St. Vincent is her idol). She also likes to dance around her room and sing along to her favorite songs into her hairbrush (who doesn’t?), so Clark decided to put together a mix of songs Piper could dance to. Many of them are older songs way before Piper’s time, but hopefully she’ll appreciate them anyway and the mix will broaden her musical horizons. The mixtape includes songs by Depeche Mode, New Order, Stereolab, Deee-Lite, The Pointer Sisters, The Knife, and, of course, Talking Heads. Check out the full tracklist below, followed by a stream of an edit of the interview portions of the show.
