Despite their growing status outside of the indie rock intelligentsia, Grizzly Bear‘s and St. Vincent‘s astutely arranged pop songs have more in common with Stravinsky or Ravel than FM radio hits. Now the two Brooklyn heavyweights are combining their talents and bringing their delicate music to venues throughout Europe. Maybe next time North America.

We discovered through a press release and Edward Droste’s Twitter (It’s not all celebrity twit tweets!), St. Vincent will be opening Grizzly Bear for a Halloween show in London and touring with them throughout November. Those of us in the U.S. can take solace in the fact that both St. Vincent and Grizzly Bear have U.S. legs of their tour before they go overseas. St. Vincent is sharing a bill with Andrew Bird while Grizzly Bear pairs up with Beach House. There will be enough organs, pianos and violins for a small orchestra. The complete list of dates for both groups is below.
