
St. Vincent’s Annie Clark is Directing a Horror Movie
Singer Making Directorial Debut with Horror Anthology film

St. Vincent‘s (aka Annie Clark) music has appeared in many places, even movie soundtracks. Today she announced that she’ll be making her directorial debut for the upcoming all-female-led horror anthology film XX. She already co-wrote her segment, which is scheduled to start filming this spring. XX is being produced by Roxanne Benjamin, who was also had a hand in creating anthology series V/H/S. Other directors include Karyn Kusama, Jennifer Lynch, and Jovanka Vuckovic. No specifics of what her part will entail or when it will be out but it’s clear the stories will revolve around their female protagonists.
Clark had the the following about her first chance to direct: “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to explore the genre-film medium.”
