After appeasing long-time Pavement fans with a reunion tour last year, Stephen Malkmus is readying life again alongside his current outfit The Jicks with a new album scheduled for release August 23. Entitled Mirror Traffic, the new record features the production work of Beck. According to label Matador, the new work “makes a compelling case that after some 22 years in the public eye, Stephen Malkmus’ full range of musical and lyrical capabilities had yet to be previously explored.” With tour dates and mp3 previews said to be coming shortly, you can read the whole announcement release via Matablog here.
