The Dodos
Next week San Francisco duo The Dodos will release their fifth studio album Carrier.
The record features a greater exploration of the electric guitar by frontman Meric Long, who was heavily influenced by his friend and fellow musician Chris Reimer. Long had been introduced to Reimer when he joined the tour behind The Dodos’ last album No Color. In early 2012 Reimer unexpectedly passed away from a complication related to a heart condition. Carrier will distributed on the band’s new label home Polyvinyl on Aug. 27. Click here to listen on Pitchfork Advance.
