Out April 7
Mar 31, 2015
The Mountain Goats
Next week The Mountain Goats will release their fifteenth studio album Beat the Champ. The follow-up to the band’s 2012 LP Transcendental Youth, the new record takes its inspiration from the world of pro wrestlers that frontman John Darnielle idolized as a kid, and features the previously shared cuts “The Legend of Chavo Guerrero” and “Heel Turn 2.” Ahead of its scheduled release, the album has landed its way online to stream in full on NPR. Beat the Champ arrives April 7.
