SEXWITCH Due Out This Friday
Sep 22, 2015 SEXWITCH
SEXWITCH is a collaboration between Bat For Lashes (aka Natasha Khan), producer Dan Carey, and the psych-rock band TOY. The band is releasing their self-titled debut album this Friday (September 25) via Echo/BMG. You can stream the whole thing below, via The Guardian.
Previously the band have shared two tracks from the album: first single “Helelyos” and the hypnotic, near 7-minute long “Ha Howa Ha Howa.” Khan and TOY first collaborated in 2013 for a cover of “The Bride” by Iranian musician Amir Rassaei. Similarly SEXWITCH’s album features six covers of songs by artists from different countries, including two songs each from Iran and Morocco and one song each from Thailand and America. All the tracks were recorded live in the studio and Khan had the lyrics translated to English by friends. The lone American song is Skip Spence’s “War In Peace.” Here’s the full album stream:
