Youth Lagoon (aka Trevor Powers) is releasing his third album, Savage Hills Ballroom, next Friday (September 25) via Fat Possum. Now you can stream the whole thing below via NPR First Listen.

Previously he had shared the audio for “The Knower” and “Rotten Human,” and the video for “Highway Patrol Stun Gun.” Savage Hills Ballroom is the follow-up to 2013’s Wondrous Bughouse. The album was recorded in Bristol, England by Powers and co-produced/mixed/engineered by Ali Chant (PJ Harvey, Gravenhurst) and has partly been influenced by the passing of one of Powers’ closest friends, which forced Powers to cancel one of the tours for Wondrous Bughouse. “That experience made me start viewing Youth Lagoon differently,” said Powers in a press release announcing the album. “It was a complete refocus for me.”
