New York trio Sunflower Bean are releasing a new album, Twentytwo in Blue, on March 23 (which is next Friday) via Mom + Pop. Previously the band shared videos for “I Was a Fool” and “Crisis Fest,” as well as the audio for almost title track “Twentytwo” (which was one of our Songs of the Week) and a video for “Twentytwo.” Now the band has shared another taste of the album in the form of new song “Human For,” which shows off the psych rock side of the band a bit more than the previous singles from the album. Listen to it below, followed by the band’s upcoming tour dates.

The band issued this statement about the song in a press release: “Music and art is the religion for the non-religious. It gives life meaning and purpose. It keeps us alive. This song is a rallying cry for our purpose, and a rejection of the way other people think you must define your life.”

Sunflower Bean released their debut album, Human Ceremony, on Fat Possum in 2016.
