Superchunk
2010 is shaping up to be an eventful year for old school Merge artists. First came the announcement of the first Versus album in nearly 10 years, and now the label have provided the details of the highly anticipated new Superchunk LP Majesty Shredding, their 9th overall, and first first since 2001’s Here’s to Shutting Up. Slated for release September 14, the band have already scheduled a slate of tour dates, including a few summer festivals to preview the new record and no doubt revisit some of their classic anthems, and the rest in September to coincide with its release. They’ve also lined up their first television appearance since 1994, a slot on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon September 20. Check out our in-the-studio interview with Superchunk from earlier this year.
