SXSW Parties 2013
On March 13 Under the Radar will host the first of three free day parties. Leading up to the event we’re letting you know about each artist playing. Today we’re spotlighting headliners Surfer Blood. In a previous post we gave you the basic party details of the party: The party happens from 12:00-6:00 PM at the Flamingo Cantina at 6th and Red River (515 E. 6th Street, Austin, TX 78701). All events are free and open to the public—no RSVPs or badges are required. Come early for free beer courtesy of Sapporo. SHUREand MailChimp are also sponsoring the event.
Surfer Blood is no stranger to the power of pop. With an scrappy resonance and an ability to find their way into the catchiest riffs available, the Florida-based band is sure to heat up their headlining spot. Their sophomore album Pythons is out June 11. Check out the mixtape the band made us here, and our thoughts on their last album here. You can also listen to assorted tracks, past and present, below. Surfer Blood will perform at 5pm on March 13.
