Ted Leo Signs to Matador
New Album In Early 2010
Sep 23, 2009
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists
When Lookout! Records went bankrupt, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists made the move to Touch and Go / Quarterstick. Then, earlier this year, Touch and Go shuttered their doors.
Now, the indie kingpin has found himself a new stomping ground: Matador Records. Leo’s website lists Matador as his record label, and they confirmed it in their constantly updating Matablog.
Fans can expect a new full-length in early 2010. The as yet untitled release was recorded throughout 2009 at Brooklyn’s Seaside Lounge. You can read a little more about it and listen to a very rough demo in this recent Stereogum Progress Report.
