Beloved Scottish veterans Teenage Fanclub are back with a new album and have shared its first single. Here is the band’s tenth full-length and it’s due out September 9 via Merge. Below is the first single and album opening track, “I’m In Love,” followed by the album’s tracklist and cover art.
Teenage Fanclub’s three founding members (Norman Blake, Raymond McGinley, and Gerard Love) each wrote four of the album’s 12 songs. Here was then recorded with the band’s soundman David Henderson, with regular drummer Francis Macdonald and keyboard player Dave McGowan also joining the sessions, which went down in three different locations. It was recorded at Vega in rural Provence, France, and at McGinley’s home studio in Glasgow, Scotland. Then the album was mixed at Clouds Hill in Hamburg, Germany.
