The Radio Dept. Drop “The New Improved Hypocrisy” MP3
Just in Time For The Swedish Elections
Sep 15, 2010
The Radio Dept.
“The New Improved Hypocrisy” is The Radio Dept.‘s second political tune. The first one was 2008’s “Freddie and the Trojan Horse,” which was “...about the untruthfulness of the Swedish right-wing government and how the leading party seized power by portraying itself as supportive of the workers.” Most fans will recognize this tune as it has been performed live since 2008 and can be heard on the Live in Lund, Live in Moscow and Live in New York bootleg recordings.
Today, the synth-pop band offered the tune about the present Swedish government to fans via their site. Good timing, since the Swedish elections are this Sunday. In other news, check out info about RD’s Never Follow Suit EP and fall NYC shows here.
