The Beths
The Beths are a new four-piece from New Zealand who are releasing their debut album, the amusingly titled Future Me Hates Me, on August 10 via Carpark. All four members of the band studied jazz at university, but the band has more of a scrappy indie rock vibe. Previously “Happy Unhappy” was an honorable mention in our Songs of the Week list. Now they have shared a lyric video for another song from the album, “Great No One.” Check it out below.
Singer Elizabeth Stokes had this to say about the song in a press release: “There’s a lot of sad sincerity in the lyrics. That relies on the music having a light heart and sense of humor to keep it from being too earnest.”
