The Cardigans have announced some new tour dates where they perform their 1998 album Gran Turismo in its entirety. The Swedish band haven’t released an album since 2005’s excellent Super Extra Gravity, but they have done some touring since then and singer Nina Persson has released music with A Camp and as a solo artist. The Gran Turismo dates go down this December and alas are only in the UK, where the album was particularly well-received, peaking at #8 on the album charts and going Platinum, selling 520,000 copies. In America the album peaked at #151 on the album charts, so some similar U.S. dates are probably unlikely, but we can live in hope. Check out the dates below, followed by some videos from the album.

The band had this to say about the tour dates in a press release: “We are delighted to return to UK in December. We believe it’s the first time since the summer of 2007. This time we’ll indulge in the late ‘90s playing Gran Turismo all the way through. We hope to see you guys there!”
