The Charlatans Announce Fall North American Tour Dates

Different Days Out Now via BMG

May 14, 2018 The Charlatans

Britpop and Madchester survivors The Charlatans released a new album, Different Days, last year via BMG. Now they have announced some fall North American tour dates. They go down this October and include shows on both coasts, as well as one show in Mexico and two in Canada (their first shows north of the border in over a decade). Check them out below, followed by the video for “Different Days.”

The band have previously shared Different Days’ first single, “Plastic Machinery,” which features the legendary guitarist of The Smiths, Johnny Marr, along with Brian Jonestown Massacre frontman Anton Newcombe, as well as a video for the song and a remix of the song by fellow countrymen Sleaford Mods. Then there was a video for “Different Days.”

Different Days is The Charlatans’ thirteenth album. It was co-produced by Jim Spencer at the band’s studio in Cheshire, England. As well as Marr and Newcombe, the album also features Paul Weller, crime writer Ian Rankin, and writer/actress Sharon Horgan.

On Record Store Day frontman Tim Burgess released, I Was Now, a 10-year-old unreleased album featuring Burgess on vocals, along with an all-star lineup that includes Ladyhawke, Josh Hayward (The Horrors), Martin Duffy (Felt/ Primal Scream), Debbie Googe (My Bloody Valentine), and Steffan Halperin (The Chavs/Klaxons).
