Oct 06, 2015 The Twilight Sad
Goth legends The Cure have announced that they will be embarking on a 25-date U.S. tour in 2016 and that Scotland’s The Twilight Sad will support all dates. So far they’ve only announced three dates, which are below and include shows at the Hollywood Bowl and Madison Square Garden. The full tour will be announced in January.
The Twilight Sad’s newest album, Òran Mór Session, is out October 16 via FatCat and consists of reworked versions of songs from their last album, Nobody Wants To Be Here and Nobody Wants To Leave, as well as its B-sides and a cover of Arthur Russell’s “I Couldn’t Say It To Your Face.” The Cure’s Robert Smith covered The Twilight Sad’s “There’s a Girl in the Corner” back in May and you can listen to that again below. (And just yesterday we posted Smith’s new remix of Ride’s “Vapour Trail,” which you can check out here.)
The Cure and The Twilight Sad Tour Dates:
May 22 - Los Angeles, CA - Hollywood Bowl
June 10 - Chicago, IL - UIC Pavilion
