Back in April Toronto duo The Darcys (or are they just going by Darcys now, without the The?) released a new single, “Miracle,” via Arts&Crafts. Now the song has a video directed by Common Good. It references the classic 1984 film Footloose, especially Kevin Bacon’s warehouse dance scene, but with the gender switched. There’s also a brief Back to the Future reference. The song is very shiny, dance-y, and all around poppy for a band who once covered Steely Dan’s Aja in its entirety, not that we’re complaining, it sounds great. Mr. Kevin Bacon himself watched the video and tweeted his approval. Watch the video below (via Clash, who premiered it), followed by Bacon’s tweet and the band’s tour dates.

The Darcys Tour Dates:

8/11 - Vancouver, BC @ The Commodore Ballroom *
8/12 - Vancouver, BC @ The Commodore Ballroom *
9/3 - Edmonton, AB @ Sonic Boom Festival
9/3 - Calgary, AB @ X Fest
9/4 - Edmonton, AB @ Sonic Boom Festival
