Dodge and Burn Due Out This September on Third Man
Jul 06, 2015 The Kills
The Dead Weather have announced their new album, Dodge and Burn, due out this September via Jack White’s Third Man label. The band features White, Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age), and Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs, The Greenhrones). The album includes remixed/remastered versions of four songs previously released as 7-inch singles via Third Man’s Vault subscription service, along with eight new songs. It’s the band’s third album and the follow-up to 2010’s Sea of Cowards.
There will be a special limited edition version of the album that will be released via the Vault subscription series as Vault Package #25, which will be sent out the same week the regular album is released and can be ordered from the Third Man website here up until July 31st. The limited edition includes the album on Inclement Weather vinyl with an alternate album cover, a 7-inch for the single “I Feel Love (Every Million Miles),” and Dead Weather playing cards featuring the band members as the King, Queen, Jack, and Joker.
The Dead Weather have also announced that they won’t be touring behind this album, due to the band members’ various other commitments. Below is a Dodge and Burn sampler Third Man posted to Soundcloud that includes clips from the four songs previously released as 7-inches.
