The Decemberists Drop Exclusive 7” Single
Band Also Scheduled Additional New York Show
Dec 13, 2010 The Decemberists
With just weeks to go until Christmas, those sugary-sweet holiday jingles have certainly been driving us crazy. Luckily, The Decemberists have delivered something fresh—and still somewhat festive—with which to ring in the new year: a limited edition 7” single of “January Hymn.” The single—off the indie folk-rock outfit’s upcoming LP The King Is Dead, due January 18th—will be released December 14th in conjunction with Record Store Day promoters at participating locations throughout the U.S. and Europe. As a b-side, the band shows off its covering talent with an exclusive cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Row Jimmy.”
If you were one of those unlucky Colin Meloy-loving New Yorkers left without tickets for the band’s Beacon Theater shows this coming January, cheer up: The Decemberists have announced an additional New York City performance on January 26th. Check out the full list of North American and European shows.

It can be madе to look and feel like a completely different furnishing for far less than replacement cost.
