The Hold Steady Hit The Colbert Report
Band Played “Heaven is Whenever”
May 14, 2010 The Hold Steady
Continuing his quest to prove he’s the indie rocker of basic cable faux-newscasters, Stephen Colbert welcomed The Hold Steady to his show last night. After a surprisingly straightforward interview about the religious imagery of their lyrics, the band preformed “Heaven is Whenever” the title track to their recently released album. We have videos of both the interview and performance.
