The Hold Steady Set to Release Heaven Is Whenever May 4
Promotional Tour Starts April 2
Feb 24, 2010 The Hold Steady
New York rockers The Hold Steady are busy prepping their fifth studio full-length Heaven Is Whenever, set for release May 4.
Via press release, singer Craig Finn describes ‘Heaven Is Whenever’ as being “about embracing suffering and understanding its place in a joyful life.”
The band achieved this dichotomy in part, by placing a makeshift recording booth in the back of their tour bus. Finn says it allowed him to, “see what was working and what wasn’t. I believe this record benefits from us working at a more deliberate pace.”
