The Hold Steady Share Two New Songs - “Entitlement Crew” and “A Snake in the Shower”
In Honor of Band's Brooklyn Bowl Shows This Week; Proceeds From Single Go to Charity
Nov 27, 2017 The Hold Steady
The Hold Steady have shared two new songs, “Entitlement Crew” and “A Snake in the Shower,” the A- and B-side of a new single available now on Bandcamp. The songs are being shared in honor of the band’s Brooklyn Bowl shows this Wednesday through Saturday. “We recorded these in Brooklyn just this month,” said the band on the Bandcamp page for the single. “We hope to play them at the shows, so we thought we’d share them in case you want to sing along.”
All of the Bandcamp proceeds for the single will be donated to The K+L Guardian Foundation, which the band explain “was formed to benefit ‘Jersey’ Mike Van Jura’s children after he suddenly passed away in November 2012 at only 36 years of age. Jersey Mike was the unofficial leader of The Unified Scene.” The songs will be exclusive to Bandcamp this week, before going up on other digital retailers next week. Listen below.
