The Killers’ Brandon Flowers Readies Solo Debut
Flamingo out September 14th

Brandon Flowers
Hey remember The Killers? Well, after glitzy album Day & Night, the band decided to go on an extended break. “No good!” cried leadsinger Brandon Flowers, who had been busy writing songs for their next album. Suspiciously eying his comrades, Flowers retreated back into studio, cradling a mountain of scraps containing his Las Vegas-inspired musings.
Okay. So it might not have gone down exactly like that. But here’s what we do know. Unwilling to put his muse on hold, Flowers has in fact, branched out on his own for solo album, Flamingo (out September 14th). Aiding Flowers in his quest for solo domination are producers Stuart Price, Daniel Lanois, and Brendan O’Brien, as well as fellow bandleader gone solo artist, Jenny Lewis, who sings back-up on two tracks. The result is an album that ranges from the dancefloor to the stadium, to the gospel-singing revival meeting.
