The Last Shadow Puppets
Suck it and See not really your thing? For any Arctic Monkeys fan still feeling slightly underwhelmed by the band’s last outing, good news came today. Arctic Monkeys bandleader Alex Turner is planning to head back into the studio with side-project, The Last Shadow Puppets.
Says Shadow Puppets cohort Miles Kane “There will be [another record] when the time is right. We’ll both know together when it’s right. We’re both enjoying our own things, but we’re still working together and when the time is right we’ll go and do that again.”
“But when?” the fans cry, eager for a follow-up to melodrama-heavy debut, The Age of the Understatement. Kane went on to say, “Maybe the end of this year, maybe next year.”
In other words, far more likely to happen than that Postal Service reunion we’ve all been praying for.
