Los Angeles punk band The Linda Lindas are releasing their second full-length release, No Obligation, on October 11 via Epitaph. Now they have shared its newest single, “Yo Me Estreso,” which features “Weird Al” Yankovic on accordion. It was shared via a music video. Watch it below.

When the album was announced, they shared its lead single, “All In My Head,” with a music video. It was one of our Songs of the Week. The band also recently contributed the song “I’m So Happy to be Little” to the soundtrack for Yo Gabba GabbaLand!

The band’s Bela Salazar had this to say about the new single in a press release: “‘Yo Me Estreso’ is a song about always being stressed, always being anxious and thinking that people are mad at you when they really aren’t. It was inspired by listening to a lot of corridos tumbados, banda and Duranguense and doing that in our own punk style.”

The age of the band members range from 13 to 19. Lucia de la Garza and bassist Eloise Wong are still in high school; drummer Mila de la Garza just finished middle school, and Bela Salazar is the eldest, waiting for the rest to catch up. No Obligation was written and recorded during band members’ spring and winter breaks and long weekends.

Check out our 2022 interview with the band here.

No Obligation follows the release of The Linda Linda’s debut album Growing Up, which was featured on our Top 100 Albums of 2022 list.

The new album includes two singles released in 2023: “Too Many Things” and “Resolution/Revolution.”

Yankovic recently shared the new single “Polkamania!” Read our interview with him about it.
