The National have announced a show in support of Hillary Clinton in the important swing state of Ohio. The “Love Trumps Hate” show will be in the band’s hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio on November 2. The band says in a statement: “We will urge Ohioans to support Clinton and her vision of an America that is stronger together by voting early or on Election Day.” Below is their full statement on Instagram. There will also be other “Love Trumps Hate” shows featuring Katy Perry (11/5 in Philadelphia), Jennifer Lopez (10/29 in Miami), and Jon Bon Jovi (10/27 in Pittsburgh and 11/5 in Tampa), with more to be announced. On Wednesday, November 2, we will host a Get Out The Vote performance for @hillaryclinton in Cincinnati, Ohio. The event will be part of Hillary for America’s “Love Trumps Hate” concert series to get out the vote in the final weeks before Election Day on November 8. We will urge Ohioans to support Clinton and her vision of an America that is stronger together by voting early or on Election Day.
