'Valhalla Dancehall' Hits Stores Next Week
Jan 04, 2011 British Sea Power
The Onion‘s A.V. Club got a headstart in the new year, already checking “do something we’ve never done before” off their resolutions’ list: stream an unreleased record in its entirety free of cost. For their inaugural album stream, the A.V. Club chose Valhalla Dancehall, British Sea Power‘s latest indie rock epic slated for release January 11th on Rough Trade. Valhalla Dancehall, a dynamic achievement of energized guitar pop spiked with spiraling riffs and darkly orchestral vocals, was recorded on the Isle of Skye off the coast of Scotland and marks the eclectic, Norse gods-referencing group’s fourth studio album, following 2008’s Mercury-nominated Do You Like Rock Music?. Check out all 13 tracks (and be prepared to have your mind blown) here.
