The Pains of Being Pure at Heart to Release New EP, Single
They're Also Touring With Girls, The Depreciation Guild and Cymbals Eat Guitars
Jul 24, 2009 The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
Dreamy pop freshmen The Pains of Being Pure at Heart already have an amazing self-titled debut full-length under their belts in 2009, but they’re not likely to rest on their laurels. The pop quartet is touring extensively this summer and fall and even released a A-side-quality B-side, with “Ramona.” (It’s streaming on their Myspace).
In September, The Pains will look to continue their good luck with the release of yet another single and an EP within two weeks of each other. On September 8th, they’ll give us the album track single “Come Saturday,” and new song “Side Ponytail” as its B-side. (How ‘80s of them.) When September 22nd rolls around, Higher Than the Stars EP drops. It will contain four more new tracks! Both the single and the EP will be on the kings of this type of C86-like dreaminess: Slumberland. The cover art to Higher Than the Stars is above and the tracklist is below. Come Saturday single is a very green copy of the group’s black debut (see to the right). The Adult Friction 7-inch was red.
