Chicago’s The Sea and Cake are releasing a new album, Any Day, on May 11 via Thrill Jockey. Any Day is the band’s first album in six years, since 2012’s Runner. Previously The Sea and Cake shared the album’s title track, “Any Day” (which was one of our Songs of the Week). Now they have shared its closing track, “These Falling Arms.” A press release calls it the band’s first and only waltz and says it was inspired by Julee Cruise’s “Falling” (which was featured in the original Twin Peaks). Listen to it below, followed by the band’s upcoming tour dates.
