The Shins and MGMT to Cover Pink Floyd on “Jimmy Fallon”
A Week of Tributes Starts This Monday
Sep 23, 2011
Foo Fighters
Next Week, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon is heading to the dark side of the moon. The talk show’s musical guests—which include the likes of The Shins and MGMT, will be covering Pink Floyd tracks.
The theme ties into a major promotion (what else is new?)—as the classic band is preparing a re-released of their 14 studio albums, 16 CD Discovery Collection, and not one, but two versions of Dark Side of The Moon. We’re just stoked to get some new covers. Check out the schedule of events below.
Monday – The Shins: “Breathe”
Tuesday – The Foo Fighters (featuring Roger Waters): “In the Flesh”
Wednesday – MGMT: “Lucifer Sam”/”The Piper at the Gates of Dawn”
Thursday – Dierks Bentley: “Wish You Were Here”
Friday - Pearl Jam “Mother”
